Empowergize U, LLC ("Empowergize U," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form or sign up for updates, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, your email address, and any message you include. Apart from the analytics and advertising data described below, which is collected only if you accept those cookies, we don’t collect anything beyond what you choose to submit.

If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect anonymous information about how the site is used, such as which pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you are on. Your IP address is anonymized before it reaches us, and none of it identifies you by name.

If you accept advertising cookies, the Meta pixel records that you visited the site and which pages you saw, and sends that to Meta. It lets us see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads are working, and show ads to people who have been here before. Meta may match this to an account you hold with them.

The contact form and the newsletter sign-up are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at how a visitor interacts with the page in order to tell people apart from automated spam. That check is carried out by Google and is subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms of service.

How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule a conversation
  • To send you updates from Empowergize U, only if you’ve opted in to the newsletter
  • To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it
  • To keep spam out of the contact form
  • For no other purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing use.

Spam protection

Our contact form and newsletter sign-up use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects information such as your IP address, browser details, and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google for analysis. It loads on the contact page, and on other pages only once you start filling in the newsletter form. If you never use either form, it never loads.

Google’s use of that information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Cookies and tracking

We use one necessary cookie, which remembers the cookie choice you made so we don’t ask again on every page. It is set whether you accept or reject, because it has to record your decision. Google reCAPTCHA may also set cookies that it needs in order to work.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count visits and understand how people move through the site. If you reject, they are never set. If you accept and then change your mind, they are deleted.

If you accept advertising cookies, the Meta pixel sets its own cookies so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram advertising and reach visitors again there. If you reject, it is never loaded. Analytics and advertising are separate choices, so accepting one does not turn on the other.

You can change your choice at any time using the Manage cookies link in the footer of every page.

Third-party tools

A few services handle specific jobs on our behalf. Each one only ever sees what that job requires:

  • Formspree delivers contact form messages to Brandy. Your browser never contacts it directly; the message passes through this site’s own server first.
  • Brevo stores newsletter sign-ups and sends the confirmation email and any updates you have agreed to receive. Like most email services, it can record whether an email was opened or a link in it was clicked.
  • Calendly handles the scheduling buttons on the contact page. If you book a time, the name, email, and any details you enter go to Calendly under its own privacy policy.
  • Google reCAPTCHA checks that contact form and newsletter submissions come from a person rather than a bot. It loads only where one of those forms is being used.
  • Google Analytics measures site usage, and only if you have accepted analytics cookies.
  • Meta, through its pixel, measures our Facebook and Instagram advertising, and only if you have accepted advertising cookies. What it receives is governed by Meta’s own privacy policy.
  • YouTube hosts the videos embedded on some pages. They are set to no-cookie mode, and the player is not loaded at all until you press play.
  • Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, as any web host does.

Newsletter sign-ups

When you sign up, we send you an email asking you to confirm. You are only added to the list once you click the link in it, so nobody can subscribe an address that is not theirs. If you never click it, nothing is added.

Your address is held by Brevo, our email provider, under its own privacy policy. We only ask for your email, and every update includes a link to unsubscribe.

How long we keep it

We keep what you send us only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, or, for newsletter subscribers, until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is held by Google under the retention period set on our account, and is never linked to anything you have submitted through the site.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you, or unsubscribe from updates, at any time by emailing BrandyWimberly@empowergizeu.com or by using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails. You can change or withdraw your cookie consent whenever you like through the Manage cookies link in the footer.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
